Thom & Joe Briana
Brothers Thom & Joe Briana have worked together for many years on Solid Shave.
Joe is a professional barber, and by his own estimate has shaved thousands of faces. But he's always thought "there has to be a better way." He tried many ideas to improve his shave technique and his customers' experience, but dry, irritated skin seemed inevitable. The blade did a lot of damage no matter what product he used or method he tried. Joe began tinkering - reading chemistry texts, asking questions, some kitchen experiments, and thinking hard. His breakthrough idea: a solid shaving microglaze formulation that concentrates all of the "good stuff" necessary to soothe and protect skin. There is far less water in Solid Shave than any gel or foam on the market, so there's more room in the product itself for the ingredients that make a fine shave possible while protecting the skin during and long after.
Thom is a master colorist and stylist who has collaborated with John Mizialko, their Chemist, to refine the formula and make Solid Shave a reality. The brothers and John have included only the finest organic and natural ingredients to enable their original microglaze formulation - the 'secret sauce' in Solid Shave.

There are names in our ingredients list that seem quite chemical or foreign. That's only because we have to list them that way. Nearly all of our ingredients are naturally derived or organic, and all were selected to protect, nourish and condition the skin.
